Pillar Design Group provided a structural engineering design services  for a new library wind. This project is an addition to an existing library facility in St. Charles City-County Library District. An approximately 10,000 square foot addition was made to add additional square footage for a Reading Room, incorporating contemporary architectural styles with tall ceilings and a clerestory to let in natural light. A new large inviting entry tower light feature was also added as well as revised canopy features around the existing structure. Interior renovations include the removal of load bearing walls. The project was completed in 2009.
